A few weeks ago, I went on a short work trip to Switzerland with my colleagues, R & S. It was my first business development trip, so I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. I was still pretty excited about the opportunity. I’d always been curious about what a work trip like this would actually be like.
We spent three days between Zurich and Basel. For most of the trip, I simply went with the flow. It was great to meet clients in person and see how conversations unfold when you’re sitting across the table from each other. I didn’t actually get to explore much of Switzerland. Partly because I was working most of the time, and partly because I didn’t have any data on my phone, so I figured it was probably best to stick with my directors.
It was really nice getting to know R & S beyond our day-to-day work. On our last night in Basel, we had dinner together and ended up having a lovely conversation. At one point, there was heavy thunder and rain, so we decided to stay put, order dessert, and keep talking.
What we discussed that night will stay in Basel 🙂
I actually brought my camera with me, but I was too shy to use it in front of my colleagues. It was only on the last night that I finally took a few pictures.
