Your now is not your forever

Having just moved to London, I knew 2022 would be a year full of changes, and indeed it was. I met so many new people, and so many crazy things beyond my imagination have happened (thankfully, most of it was good).

For 2023, I didn't know what to expect, and I certainly didn't anticipate making big changes so early on in the year. For starters, I decided to chop off my hair, and now it's super short. At first, I completely regretted my decision, but it has grown on me now. Besides, hair will grow anyway. The other more significant change is I found a new job, starting at the end of this month! It's similar to the role I'm currently in and still based in London. I'm slightly nervous but looking forward to this new change in environment and joining the team.

I took these photos last year when I visited the "Infused by light and comfort" exhibition by Marinel Sheu. I love the calming aesthetic retro-futuristic vibes, as well as some of the messages conveyed. These pictures reminded me of the idea of passing time. We can either live the same every day or do something different. The thing is that life is changing all the time, as are we, whether you realize it or not. In the end, it's up to us how we choose to live.

Nothing is really forever, and this too shall pass. Perhaps it's time to let that shit go and just carpe diem.
